Fridays For U — the Fridays For Future App
Fridays For Future (FFF) is the movement initiated by Greta Thunberg when she commenced a school strike in front of the Swedish parliament building on August 20, 2018. Since then, demonstrations supporting the cause have been occurring in nearly 200 countries, thousands of cities, through tens of thousands of individual events involving millions of participants. Stay updated on these statistics daily with this app.
This app also allows you to log your participation in FFF events. Whenever you join a strike or another event advocating for the same demands as Greta, simply tap the "My Action" button, followed by "Settings." Fill in the contact details you wish to share and then tap back. Increase the heartbeat symbol by tapping it repeatedly.
Once you have a strong heartbeat, tap the "I am In!" button at the bottom. Your provided information highlighted in yellow above the button will be transmitted to the FFF servers. If you opt to share your email or phone number, rest assured that this information will not be shared publicly; however, local FFF event organizers may reach out to you. Refrain from sharing this information if you prefer not to be contacted.
If numerous individuals report being at an event in a similar location and time frame, that location will appear on the FFF official event map. By tapping the "Map" button, you can explore the latest map version. The map is updated at least once daily.
